MiniMed Workshop
This workshop provides undergraduate students who are interested in medical school the opportunity tovisit the SJBSM. Through lectures and health case studies combined withhands-on training, students begin to experience what it takes to study themedical sciences. Field trips to the SJBSM facilities include visits to theClinical Skills and Simulation Center, Research facilities and AnatomyLaboratory. Question and answer sessions with admissions staff, faculty and SJBSM students help participants get a feel for medical school and the careeroptions they have in medicine.
WALK FUN 5k
SJBSM students, faculty and staff (10) participated in this activity for the benefit of the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation of Puerto Rico. The Multiple Sclerosis Foundation of Puerto Rico’s mission is to help patients with particular needs and who do not have the means to cover their costs. Throughout the year they carry out educational activities, develop a wellness program and have support groups throughout the island. It is an event for the whole family. This event was held at the Luis Munoz Rivera Park in San Juan, PR.
