Medical Doctor Program

The curriculum is structured in a coherent and longitudinal sequence, through four years of study, in two phases. Two years of Biomedical Sciences and Two years of Clinical Sciences. Graduates from our MD program will have taken the USMLE Board Examinations Steps 1 and 2 during their medical studies, but will need to apply for the USMLE Step 3 in order to practice medicine. Doctorate of Nursing Practice

The Doctorate Degree in Nursing Practice with a specialty in Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioning (DNP AGPCNP) here at the San Juan Bautista School of Medicine is a 3.5-year evening program. It consists of 78 credit hours distributed over 7 semesters for full-time students and 9 semesters for part-time students.

Master of Physician Assistant Studies

The PA program begins in January 2021 and applications will be accepted beginning April 2020 through CASPA. The curriculum is delivered in 7 semesters, totaling 28 months, divided into a didactic phase, clinical phase and culminating semester. Upon successful completion of the PA program, graduates will be allowed to sit for the national certification boards (PANCE). Acreditation Status

Master In Public Health

Emphasizes on the study of the aspects of community and population health. It comprises the major aspects of population health and the strategies for community health promotion and disease prevention.

Nursing Program

A 4 year program in 8 semesters to complete 120 credits. The 120 credits consist of 20 pre-requisites, 46 general courses, and 54 credits in Nursing Science that includes theory and practice. Graduates from our BSN program are required to apply for the Puerto Rico Board of Examiners of Health Professionals nursing license in order to practice nursing.
