SJBSM students, faculty and staff (15)participated in this activity for the benefit of the Multiple SclerosisFoundation of Puerto Rico. The Multiple Sclerosis Foundation of Puerto Rico’smission is to help patients with particular needs and who do not have the meansto cover their costs. Throughout the year they carry out educationalactivities, develop a wellness program and have support groups throughout theisland. It is an event for the whole family. This event was held at the LuisMunoz Rivera Park in San Juan, PR.

Mini Med Workshop

This workshop provides undergraduate students who areinterested in medical school the opportunity to visit the SJBSM. Throughlectures and health case studies combined with hands-on training, studentsbegin to experience what it takes to study the medical sciences. Field trips tothe SJBSM facilities include visits to the Clinical Skills and SimulationCenter, Research facilities and Anatomy Laboratory. Question and answersessions with admissions staff, faculty and SJBSM students help participantsget a feel for medical school and the career options they have in medicine.
