SJBSM is aware of the unprecedented educational challenges and concerns who are experiencing our prospective applicants during the COVID-emergency. We are committed to ensuring flexibility in the upcoming application cycle:

  • Pass/Fail Coursework - We will accept pass grades for coursework during COVID-19 pandemic.
  • Online Coursework and Labs - We accept online coursework for lectures and will allow online labs during COVID-19 pandemic.
  • Letters of Evaluation - We accept all letter formats: committee, packet, and individual.
  • Delayed admission tests (CLEP, cASPER, MCAT) - You should not delay submitting your application because your CLEP/ MCAT/cASPER test score is not available yet due to test cancellations. We will send out secondary applications based on the information that is available to us at the time of initial application and hold for test scores later in our review process. You should continue to list any future test dates for which you are registered on your primary application. If this date changes due to further cancellations, you should contact the Office of Admission at your earliest convenience and notify us if you were able to reschedule for an alternate date.
  • Activities/Experiences – We understand that some opportunities may have been canceled during this pandemic including clinical / community experiences, volunteer or research opportunities. We will be adding a question to our Secondary Application where you can explain how your involvement in these activities has been affected by the COVI-19 pandemic.
